ELLA is an innovative mobile application that aims to revolutionize the fashion industry by introducing a unique fashion leasing model. Projected by Sara De Gregorio and Flavia Biscardi, the app allows users to rent designer clothes, earning passive income while embracing a sustainable lifestyle. The platform fosters a sense of community, promoting the shared economy and minimizing waste by extending the life cycle of garments.
ELLA’S geolocation feature allows users to find nearby fashion items, reducing the need for long-distance shipping and contributing to a more sustainable world. Unlike traditional fashion rental services that are often faced with stockroom challenges, “ELLA” operates on a resilient C-to-C model, positioning itself as a pioneer in Europe. Starting in the Benelux region, “ELLA” aims to expand into more fashion-oriented markets like Italy and France, leveraging their green mindset and fashion interest.
The platform offers multiple revenue streams, including a free app with advertising, premium subscription options, and collaborations with influencers. Moreover, “ELLA” has identified “garment care” as a unique revenue stream, where users can pay a commission to ensure their items against accidental damages or shipping-related issues. To maintain a secure and regulated environment, “ELLA” implements moderation in chat, advising users not to share personal information and ensuring that all transactions are handled securely within the app. “ELLA” is not just a fashion platform; it’s a movement.
